Left Wandering

Description | A short comedic documentary that takes the emotive tone of wildlife documentaries and applies it to the waste we generate and leave to wander.
This topic, the crisis of this generation, had been covered in a diverse array of tones and perspective. Yet humor is an approach that has yet to come to the fore.
The context of Left Wandering is dire, but to get the message across, this film hopes to engage through laughter.

Like a smudge on glass or a brown stain on a white shirt, every picturesque frame of daily life in our cityscape is muddied by the presence of waste - left by the irresponsible, neglected by the uncaring.
But this notion of people not caring enough had become an overheated engine of storytelling with sustainability-themed works being forced to be more relentless as the time to mitigate the effects of climate change ticks away.
It is therefore worth exploring a light-hearted approach that hooks audiences into meaningful action without discounting the problem.
By humanising the problem of the waste we generate, we may care more about it - and hopefully, enough to do something about it.
